Will Solvit and the T-Rex terror
By Zed Storm
This is a completely new series about a boy called Will Solvit who is completely normal except his dad’s a super scientist who invents super stuff like morph a machine that can change into anything by his chips like rollercoaster, time machine etc. But when his parents take him on a trip to the Jurassic period, he accidently ends up picking up a T-Rex egg, losing his parents in the Jurassic period, coming back into the present and breaking the time machine chip. So he asks his grandpa to pick him up and his grandpa’s butler worked in the white house - how cool is that! Then the egg hatches and tadda he has a pet T-REX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then Will gets these secret letters that tell him that his T-REX Rex will lead him to some key - which rex does. The key leads him to his grandpa’s secret diary. So the story ends, now onto my opinions - it’s a very good book. I love that they give decoders to decode secret messages - a truly good book, so bye for now!

Moin and the Monster by Anushka Ravishankar
This book is about a boy Moin who draws horribly. One night he hears a monster under his bed, the monster threatens Moin that if he doesn’t draw the monster he will be turned into a suitcase (some stupid monster rule of course!). So Moin draws the monster by the invisible monsters description about himself and there he is, the monster comes to life.
Now Moin is in big trouble he has to hide the monster from his parents (bring back thousands of straw baskets and bananas home) and the monster loves eating bananas and singing which leads Moin to a singing class and a late birthday party. So one day the monster gets bored and goes to Moin’s school which creates chaos, the head girl gets fed up by Moin (because of the monster) even the principal K.K Kuttykrishnan (short form Kookie) thinks Moin is a poor boy who understands nothing. After some weeks the monster wants to grow long hair but Moin says no. The havoc increases and Moin goes nuts. He decides to send the monster to another planet but the monster gets lost and when he is found Moin says that he will never part from the monster etc. I think it is a quite a funny book, for sure you will be rolling on the floor laughing by the time you finish this book. This book is great for cheering up somebody. I have a signed copy of this book - I had met the author at the Kalaghoda arts festival a few years ago and drew some pictures for her next book. I don’t know what she did with them though.
39 Clues - Sword Thief (Book 3)
This time Amy and Dan will have to go to Japan with the next clue - two short ninja swords but with a deadly alliance, Alistar Oh and Ian and Natalie Kabra, because their babysitter (au pair) got captured. So, this time they are following the famous Japanese warrior Hideyoshi. This time many things are at stake and Amy and Dan do not want to get betrayed. They have to battle some Yakuza, solve loads of puzzles, do end up getting betrayed, get almost killed, find other swords, etc. Now opinion time: a fine book - not too great but also not too bad in the middle - but if you like brainy, geometrical and Japanese sort of things you have read the right review.
(P.S. The cover’s quite cool)
A bear called Paddington by Michael Bond
This book is about a bear from darkest Peru called Paddington. Now before you ask why he has such an unusal name I may tell you his story, one day Mr & Mrs Brown were going to Paddington station to pick up their daughter Judy home after her summer vacations, instead they found a bear sitting on a bench with a suitcase. They asked the bear if he wanted to stay with the Brown’s family, the bear politely replied yes, so the bear was named after the station, Paddington. So, Paddington keeps having adventures for example falling in tubs of hot water, creating havoc underground in the subway stations, having funny shopping expeditions, painting first prize paintings by accident, becoming an actor in a theatre and dropping marmalade sandwiches on top of peoples head in the theatre, going to the seaside and sailing in buckets all day long and making eggs disappear and making them reappear under peoples bums. So now to my opinion: truly DAZZLING book! A very very rare book to find, I even have a Paddington coat which used to be my mother’s when she was small and a Paddington stuffed toy. If you want to narrate this book to a young child, I say he\she will love it.
Horrid Henry by Francesca Simon
This is the first book about a very very horrid boy, Henry. He would do the most horrid things any one would imagine. He also had a brother, Perfect Peter who would do the most sweetest and politest things - a whole opposite of Henry. So one day Henry thinks “what if I became like Peter for a day”.
So, he stops reading comics, stops telling a lie and tries to become perfect (for 1 day) and that leads to Trouble (with capital T). His next totally horrid adventure leads him to a stupid dance class, where he does an elephant dance instead of a tap dance and treads on everyone’s feet. So comes the dance show that ends in a bang because he tread on someone and that person tread on someone and so on, the whole thing is an absolute disaster
More horrid stuff coming: this time it’s making yucky stuff with Moody Margret, who is Henry’s moody neighbour (who later becomes his arch enemy). They brew some yucky stuff called glop with snails, worms, porridge, soggy semolina, coleslaw, spinach, coffee, yoghurt, flour, vinegar, baked beans, mustard, peanut butter, mouldy cheese, pepper, rotten oranges and ketchup and they gave it to Peter - AND HE ATE IT!!!
The next thing Henry loves is camping - that is if the tents have tvs, refrigerators, etc. But no, his father took him to a deserted area with one public toilet and an ice cold river. The whole thing ended in the big camp but started like this: Henry’s father asked him if he would bring some logs to light a fire, but Henry is not hardworking. He takes away all the logs that support the other camps and the other camps come crashing down! Afterwards, Henry's camp came down with the rain and their camp got electrocuted - so like that they ended up in one big camp.
Now down to my opinions, it’s a short book for fast readers. I finished it in 1 hour. It’s a book I like to collect but if you are looking for something funny this is the right place.

Ben 10 Deluxe Omnitrix Toy
(This toy was sent to me anonymously by parcel I guess it was sent to me for reviewing so I am reviewing it)
This review is about a toy: the Ben 10 watch. It is a toy for ages 4+ and is a watch with a video game screen. It has 4 modes: normal mode, battle mode, status mode and option mode.
➢ Normal mode: In this mode you can choose which alien you want be out of 10 aliens in the starting. As you play you can unlock more aliens. But I don't know how many aliens are there in total in this watch because I have just started playing yesterday. Till now I have unlocked only 12 aliens.
➢ Battle mode: In this mode in the starting you can see Ben walking in the middle of the screen - there is a BOOM! and the screen says VILLAINS ATTACK! The face of the villain is shown then the watch tells you to turn into an alien within a specific time. So, the less the time to become an alien, that many wins. If you run out of time, you lose, or if you choose a wrong alien you miss and lose.
➢ Status mode: It has three files: data file, alien file, villain file. In the data file it shows you the number of wins and number of matches played. It also shows you your best time of battle mode. Then, it has an alien file where it has all the data about your aliens. The villain file tells you about the villains you have encountered till now.
➢ Option Mode: It takes you to two sections - sound and screen. In screen you can set the screen light to dim or bright. In sound you can control the sound - if you want it off put the sound off. If you want it on put it on.
By my opinion it is a very interesting toy but in battle mode it takes too much time for the villains to attack. Otherwise the game is just normal and fine - you'll get bored sometime, but in the start have fun and good luck with villains.

The Name of This Book is Secret
In this book the author does not tell you his name (he calls himself the Pseudonymous Bosch - I hope you didn't think that is a real person's name) nor does he tell you the name of the book. After some pages you will find that two pages are filled with crosses instead of words! This page contains information about the characters that the author does not want you to know. So, the story is about this girl who's pet name is Cassandra (the author won't tell you her real name), then she makes a friend in school called Max-Ernest. He's quite a weirdo - his parents are divorced but live in one house. His father and mother divided the house down the middle - one side's for the father, the other's for the mother. The mystery begins when the children find a missing magician's diary. There's then a 400 year old witch whose the main Villain. I can't reveal anymore of the books secrets. By my opinion it is a very unusual and different book - a very well written book some people may like it as a exciting or scary but no one can deny that it is a fabulous book you must read it.

Percy Jackson - Sea of Monsters: Book 2
By my last review you may already know Percy - this is his second adventure. When Percy is in his new school the whole year has gone by without any vapourizing of maths teachers.(By the way Percy's mom has adopted a kid by the name of Tyson who is actually a Cyclops - a ONE EYED MONSTER but Percy doesn't know it). So on the last day he is playing dodgeball when an elderly group of kids turn into giant cannibals. So when a giant throws a ball at Percy Tyson is just in time to save Percy. Then Annabeth comes just in time to save both of them, and takes both of them to camp-half-blood. In the last review I forgot to tell you that a pine tree which is a border (a border for keeping monsters out) for the camp is actually Thalia daughter of Zeus. I can't tell you the Thalia story - you have to read the book. So the tree is weakening and the half bloods are attacked and the only way to save the camp is geting a golden fleece and to get it from a big Cyclops in the SEA OF MONSTERSSSS! Even Grover is trapped there you have to save Grover and get the fleece. This time the quest has been given to Classerie the daughter of Ares!!!!! But any way Percy follows them. Now no more.... direct to climax! They get to the island and see the fleece is on a tree which is in the middle of carnivorous sheep so now they have to save Grover. The next part is too interesting - I can't say more. Please read the book now. So to my comments: It is a well done book but not as good as Book 1: it is smaller as well but this book is also nice. Not exactly a must but fine.

Malgudi Schooldays by R.K. Narayan
Malgudi Schooldays is a book where a boy named Swami, indeed a funny little boy who has 2 friends Rajam and Mani are up to some fun and jokes every now and then. In the start Swami goes to a Christian school where his teacher insults the Hindu religion. So his father sends the head a letter regarding this. Then in the second chapter Mani and Rajam hate each other. Then he tells his grandmother stories about how Rajam did this did that and so on. But his grandmother was slightly deaf so it didn't matter. Then he got kicked out of school when there was a strike because he broke the window of his headmaster's room plus he took part in the strike. So his parents send him to board high school where problems brew up. Meanwhile Rajam starts the Malgudi Cricket Club - in short MCC. Whereas Swami's school had an extra massdrill session everyday. But first time he bowls he gets the name Tate (a great cricket player of those times). But because of the massdrill Swami cannot go for the practice. Then Rajam gets annoyed of this and talks to the headmaster about it but headmaster wont agree so Swami asks his family doctor but that brings him into more trouble - the family doctor instead of helping him he tells the headmaster that Swami has lost his stamina and gets even more mass drill. Then he gets frustrated and throws out his headmaster's stick and gets kicked out. Now I think I have told you a lot I think I should let you read the book. So now to my comments: a very funny book if you want some amazement reading this is required. But I think the author should not have insulted Hinduism. Still the story is said well and funnily - when you read it you can see and feel every word that is written. A truly great story and is a must for every human being.
Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief: Book 1
Percy Jackson is a book about a Greek boy who is a half blood - half boy half god and he is the son of Posiedon, the Greek sea god. The BIG THREE of Greek mythology are not mythology in this book: the god of air Zeus, the god of water Posiedon and Hades, the god of underworld are respected the most in Olympus, the abode of the gods and are alive and real in this book. This book is the one where Zeus accuses Percy that he has stolen his Masterbolt - the most powerful weapon though he is innocent.
With his friends Annabeth, the daughter of Athena who is the goddess of wisdom and war, and Grover, a Satyar, he sets out to find the Masterbolt. Hades thinks that Percy has stolen his devil helmet. So what will Percy do? And of course Percy and his friends stay in half blood camp and are appointed for a quest to find the bolt in 10 days. By my opinion this is a very mysterious, fast and exciting book because in the starting Percy does not know that he is a son of a god until he accidently vaporises his maths teacher with a pen which turns into a sword whenever he uncaps it and always comes back to its owner wherever he loses it. Isn't that cool? After he finishes his quest his best friend Luke tries to kill him, but he escapes. A must for children above 9 years but if smaller children want to read it no problem.
39 Clues Book 1: Maze of Bones
Dan and Amy Cahill are at the death ceremony of their Aunt Grace. The most richest Cahill of the most richest and mysterious family in the world. They are given an option of a clue or a million dollars. Dan and Amy Cahill would choose a clue. Now they are in a race against their family in order to become the most powerful person in the world. And it is called the 39 clues because whoever gets the 39 clues will be the most powerful man in history. A book which will take you ahead from the limits of excitement. A best seller by my opinion a book for children and adults alike. Its fast and tricky, made exciting because if they make a mistake their chance is gone. The cards inside are cool.A fun, dangerous, adventurous book.
Game: Ben 10 Alien Force (7+)
Ben 10 Alien Force is a game which is fun but hard even if you are 9 years old (the game is for 7+). But that just makes it more exciting. Who wants an easy-peasy game? You join Ben,Kevin,Gwen in an adventure. The first level is fun and the last level is a bit tough. I think the game is kinda fun and you get to turn into 5 different aliens, which we always wish we could do when watching the cartoons. Total action packed fun and a excellent choice for kids and is fun to even just watch-almost like a cartoon episode itself. Now some stuff from inside the game. Its tough enough to brawl with a dna alien fight with Kevin, find out secrets, play as cool aliens Jetray, Swampfire, Humangasour, Spidermonkey, Bigchill. With new SUPER COOL moves.
